NITROX is similar to air a mix of Oxygen and Nitrogen.
Compared to air with 21% of Oxygen the Nitrox uses mixes from 22% to 40% of O2 for recreational diving .
 

Two well known standard mixes, the 32%O2  NITROX I and the 36%O2  NITROX II
are used world wide  in recreational diving.

Dive - safer with less Nitrogen   -  or  - extend the no decompression time -  with NITROX

 IMPORTANT NOTE - NITROX diving is NOT for deep diving!
 

TECHNICAL NITROX - course due to standards from ProTec/CMAS will cover up to 100 % Oxygen and deko diving.

All these higher mixes are used when diving with REBREATHERS and they also in technical diving for decompression.
